Thomas Eaton
Coordinator, High School Initiative
Thomas Eaton is one of two High School Initiative Coordinators at AOPA. Together, the Coordinators manage the application process for high schools to adopt and implement the AOPA High School Aviation STEM Curriculum. They provide support to teachers who are implementing the AOPA Curriculum, assist in high school outreach efforts, and contribute to the planning and execution of annual events and conferences such as the AOPA High School Aviation STEM Symposium. Prior to joining AOPA, Thomas earned his bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Lock Haven University, and was the AOPA Flying Clubs Initiative Intern in the summer of 2019. Thomas started his flight training when he was 17 years old, and he is now an instrument-rated private pilot as well as a remote pilot. In addition to working at AOPA, Thomas has proudly served in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, a reserve component of the United States Air Force, since 2017.
