Nicki Nichols is the Recruitment and Retention Manager for the AOPA Foundation’s High School Aviation Initiative. She spearheads strategic collaborations with key stakeholders, including school district leaders, Board of Education members, principals, and professionals in the aviation industry. Her primary focus is on promoting and expanding the initiative’s aviation programs in high schools nationwide. In her role, Nicki oversees the processing of curriculum applications, renewals, and data collection for new and participating schools. She is instrumental in recruiting new schools and districts and cultivating relationships to encourage ongoing participation and engagement. Nicki maintains close communication and engagement with educators and school leaders, facilitating both virtual and in-person professional development training sessions. Working closely with the Director of the High School Initiative, Nicki is instrumental in advancing the initiative’s goals and expanding its impact across the educational landscape.
