To kick off 2021, we would like to welcome 5 New Flying Clubs to the AOPA Flying Club Family! Please welcome the following new clubs with their home airport listed:

• Suncoast Aviators, KCLW, Clearwater, Florida
• 2M2 Flying Club, 2M2, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee
• Airway Aviation, KROA, Roanoke, Virginia
• Cereal City Flying Club, KBTL, Battle Creek, Michigan
• Chester Flight Fliers, KSNC, Chester, Connecticut

Here’s hoping these new clubs have a prosperous and active first year in operation!

The Flying Clubs Team Unveils New Website

We are so happy to announce that our new Flying Clubs Website is live! The goal of this new website is to make our great resources for both new and existing flying clubs easier to find, we also wanted the content to be relevant and up to date year after year. Drew and Steve would like to thank our marketing and web development team for their hard work. We hope you enjoy it!

AOPA Flight Training Scholarships-Applications Closed

Valentine’s Day marked the final day for flight training scholarship applications here at AOPA. Taz Thomas, manager of the scholarship program reports that we had an outstanding number of applications this year!

Here are the application numbers by scholarship:

• High School Student: 1,198
• High School Teacher: 31
• Primary Flight Training: 1,524
• Advanced Flight Training: 1,261

Applicants can expect to hear the results of their application via email in April. Good luck!
